OCTOBER has been a month filled with gratitude, growth, and tangible acts of service at the ARTEX Baptist Association.
From life-changing mission trips to impactful community outreach, we’re excited to share the blessings and achievements of our vibrant church network.
A Mission to Remember: Brazil ‘24
This year’s mission to Brazil was a testament to God’s work in the hearts of many.
With 30 dedicated volunteers on the ground, the trip led to an incredible 700 first-time decisions for Christ. It was a powerful reminder of what can be achieved when faith meets action. As we look ahead, we invite everyone to keep next year’s mission in their prayers and consider joining us for an even greater impact.
Bless the Badges: Community at its Best
Disaster Relief: A Testament to Solidarity
September and October put our disaster response capabilities to the test, and the ARTEX community rose to the challenge with unwavering support. We deployed four trailer loads of supplies to Tennessee, Georgia, and South Carolina and had a team serving in Valdosta, GA from October 17-24.
We are grateful for the volunteers and congregations who donated supplies and labor. The search for a permanent storage solution for disaster relief and ongoing ministry needs continues—please join us in prayer for this provision.
Still available: We’re selling a John Deere tractor, and we're seeking a reliable truck for our missions and operations. Your prayers and assistance in spreading the word are greatly appreciated.
New Life and Leadership in Our Churches
Our congregations are experiencing renewal and growth:
- Guernsey Baptist Church in Hope started a new Bible study on October 16, and we’re thrilled to see new members joining. Continued prayers for this community are welcomed!
- Liberty Eylau Baptist Church has joined as our newest member, enriching our association's diversity and reach.
- A warm welcome to Bro. Tommy Weems, the new pastor at FBC Bradley.
- Heartfelt congratulations to Heath Coston and Josh Crenshaw on their recent ordinations. May their ministries be filled with inspiration and impact.
A Look Back with Gratitude
September was marked by incredible community support in the wake of hurricanes Helene and Milton. Churches stepped in with donations, volunteer drivers, and workers, showcasing the strength and compassion of our faith network.

We also extend our thanks to Crossview Baptist for hosting our annual meeting, where we reviewed reports, finalized the 2025 budget, and outlined the next steps for our association.
Our October has been a mosaic of service, celebration, and preparation for the future. We remain grateful for each member, volunteer, and partner who embodies the mission of ARTEX Baptist Association. Here’s to continued blessings and shared faith as we move forward.
